5th May 2015
Windsurfing: Felixstowe Dip
Wind Direction: SW
Wind Stength: F5-7
Surf / Sea State: rollers and chop
Air Temperature: 15
Sea Temperature: 10.5
Weather: sun n cloud
Max Speed:
Distance Covered:

Went down late afternoon when wind was forecast to swing more S from West, X-shore at Fludyers 23 knots on the beach, but Pete Strawb and Pete L starting with 4.5m at Dip so rigged 76l/4.7m and more manageable wind there as a bit offshore but fairly steady.
Sea had good rollers and wind overrode the river chop close to shore. Wind climbed so 4.2m and Paul S showed up. Ian was too light and overpowered on 4m, pity as he would have enjoyed more. Wind a bit variable as I guess it swung around, but always well powered or overpowered on 4.2m, reckon it was 30 knots at times and windiest I sailed at Felixstowe for a few years. Great fun riding down swells and even tried a few jumps. Back ached and knackered after a couple of hours so packed up. Would have been 5* if wind was more manageable
